A 21-year-old man was shot outside a Drake concert early Saturday morning in Chicago. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that an unidentified man was shot in the buttocks outside the House of Blues around 4 a.m. when more than 1,000 people were leaving the show by the Lil Wayne protégé and Sly Polaroid.

The victim, listed in stable condition, reportedly got into an altercation with a man who displayed a handgun, shot the victim and fled the scene, according to Officer JoAnn Taylor, a spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department. Taylor said that the assailant has not yet been captured. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, officials have not revealed whether the two men attended the concert. The shooting was one of 18 in Chicago over the weekend, which resulted in five deaths and 13 injuries.

According to Allhiphop.com, Drake took the stage at the venue at around 3 a.m. and performed a 45-minute set. But several fights broke out in the club, and patrons were asked to leave.

The site reported that Drake canceled a planned afterparty due to the rash of violence in the city over the weekend. The Canadian rapper and Young Money affiliate has quickly caught fire thanks to his So Far Gone mixtape, released in February. His collaboration with Lil Wayne on "Successful" has made him one of the most buzzed-about up-and-coming MCs of the year.
